The Alpenglow Effect
Natural by day. Electric by night. Set your vibe.
Alpenglow is the rose light that settles on the Flatirons at the end of a clear day. It is the name we gave the lighting designed into VUE/boulder, because the room changes the same way: slowly, warmly, and all at once.
It is less a light show than a mood the whole room takes on. Through the quiet stretches of an evening the space holds a warm neutral. When the night opens up, the walls open with it, and the bar and the room follow. The light comes through smoked acrylic, so it reads soft and organic rather than technical, and it complements the subtle moments of an event as readily as the dynamic ones.

Designed into the room, not added to it
Three elements. One effect.
The Alpenglow Effect is not a single feature. Light is built into the surfaces that matter most in the room, and each one has its own job.
The light walls
Two walls of individually controlled light columns behind smoked acrylic. This is where the energy lives: a quiet wash through dinner, a slow build into the first dance, and the full dance floor when the night turns electric.
The bar
The bar top carries the same LED and acrylic treatment as the walls, built to complement the dance floor rather than imitate it. Pin lights pick out Soft Strength, the art installation behind the bar, so its texture reads in gentle relief by day and deep shadow by night.
The room
Soft ambient LED color control runs through the whole space, so the walls never sit on top of a neutral room. The ambient layer carries the tone into the rest of the space and settles it into one feeling, from candlelight warm to full color.
Together they move the room from natural to electric, and hold it anywhere in between.
The preview
The walls, in motion.
What follows is a digital preview of the light walls and the bar, made before the walls were powered: real control data driving a simulation of the installed system, rendered onto photographs of the room. The ambient layer and the pin lights are tuned on site and are not in these clips. Three sets: how the walls listen to a song, how an evening moves from ceremony to dance floor, and how the room carries a brand.
